Our History

DWA Architects is an awarded architectural practice which started in WA by EH Summerhayes in 1893, passed down through three generations (Summerhayes Way & Associates) to become Darryl Way & Associates in 1991 and now operates as DWA Architects Pty Ltd. Our current director, Mark Langdon comes from a broad knowledge in educational, civic, multi-residential, commercial and aged-care fields.
The projects undertaken by the practice over the last 30 years demonstrate a variety of consistent, and innovative, architectural solutions that are creative and cost effective

Design excellence is a central focus of our practice, within cost and time constraints and in effective yet innovative and flexible form.

Our experience is broad based, from educational and justice, to commercial public/civic building projects in a range of locations throughout the state.

We endeavour to inform and involve the client and stakeholders in the design and decision-making process throughout the entire project.

We bring to each project a commitment to personalised service by the directors. This is one of the many aspects that sets DWA Architects apart from other practices.
